Don’t obsess about your hair.
”Mr. Bieber seems to have already established a particular look that involves pretty clean hair. My philosophy has always been that natural perspiration is the best hair product. But if you’re really that worried about your hair, you probably have other issues.”

Your record company does not care as much about your career as you do.
”We were always willing to make the long-term calls over the short term — which is hard, especially when you’re presented with great opportunities in the moment. Any record company, they’re never gonna care as much as you do about your career.”

Study your ”instrument.”
”Learn vocal technique early, because it’s the only thing that’ll save you. You have to figure out how to make a natural flow into the other side of the trench of manhood.”

”You don’t want to leave people behind, but it’s fair to surprise people or even sometimes scare people a little bit. You have to figure out how to evolve, because it has to be interesting to you. When it stops being interesting to you, it’ll stop being interesting to everyone else, too.”
