I’ve never read MetaDocs, the comic upon which Syfy is developing a new series of the same name, but I’m digging the concept. According to Variety, the show would revolve around “a secretive wing of a large urban hospital that treats injured superheroes.” Just think of the storylines. Aside from the randomly-powered superhero of the week, you have the potential for friendly or non-friendly rivals to be in the hospital at the same time; for doctors to have ethical dilemmas about reviving superheroes gone bad; for doctors to flirt or fall in love with patients; for patients to confront their mortality (and decide whether it’s time to say goodbye and reveal their true identity to a loved one). That’s banter, drama, sexual tension, and tears. Make this work!
