Image Credit: PRN/PR Photos; Tina Gill/PR PhotosFederal investigators have concluded that the deadly Sept. 2008 plane crash that injured DJ AM and blink-182’s Travis Barker was due to under-inflated tires, the Associated Press reports (h/t Rolling Stone). According to investigators’ testimony at a National Transportation Safety Board meeting, the plane’s tires exploded as it raced down a South Carolina runway, leading to brake damage and an abortive take-off. The crash killed the plane’s pilot and three others; Barker and DJ AM (born Adam Goldstein), the only survivors, suffered major burns. DJ AM died last year after an accidental drug overdose.
