According to Variety, gameshow pioneer Ira Skutch passed away March 16 in Los Angeles of lymphoma. Skutch was 88 when he died. The TV historian began his career as a page at NBC, and subsequently served as a stage manager for shows like Kraft Television Theater and You Are an Artist. Later in his career, Skutch helped create popular game shows like Match Game and Password.
