In the wake of Will & Grace actress Megan Mullally’s departure from the Broadway revival of Terrrance McNally’s Lips Together, Teeth Apart after two weeks of rehearsal, the entire production has been put on hold indefinitely, according to The New York Times. Todd Haimes, the creative director of the theater where Lips was to be staged, said there was no way to maintain the schedule that had been laid out after Mullally quit so close to the preview start date of April 9. (The show was to open April 29.) According to Times sources, Mullally butted heads with director Joe Mantello after she requested that her costar Patton Oswalt be replaced in the show.
