Jack Hirschberg — the publicist who helped promote films like Some Like it Hot, All the President’s Men, and The Ten Commandments — passed away March 7 after a brief illness, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Before he became a high-ranking publicist in Hollywood, Hirschberg worked as a newspaper reporter and boasted his own syndicated column, “Hirschberg’s Hollywood.” One of the founding members of the Publicists Guild of America, Hirschberg repped legends like Frank Sinatra, Gary Cooper and Cecil B. DeMille. He was 92 when he died.
