One day after the Sandra Bullock, the star of The Blind Side, picked up an Oscar for her work in the film, ABC Family announced that they have acquired the network TV premiere rights to John Lee Hancock’s inspirational blockbuster, which was also nominated for Best Picture last night. “Feature films are an integral part of the formula for a successful cable service, and ABC Family has created a terrific destination where Warner Bros. movies have thrived,” Warner Bros.’ President of Domestic Television Distribution Ken Werner said in a press release. “The acquisition of The Blind Side is yet another example of how ABC Family and Warner Bros. collaborate to enhance the great ABC Family franchise.”
