If the reviews aren’t glowing, you’re looking at variations of the headline “Wright vs. Wrong: Wrong Wins.” Regardless, that’s the title of the comedy pilot Will & Grace‘s Debra Messing will star in and exec produce for ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script, from MADtv actress-writer Stephnie Weir, revolves around Evelyn Wright (Messing), a “driven conservative pundit who tries to maintain her public persona despite facing her own vulnerabilities.” So I’m picturing Brothers & Sisters‘ Kitty Walker, only louder… I like it. Messing is one of those actresses whose just exudes confidence on the small-screen. Like even if the joke doesn’t land, it won’t be miserable to watch because of the way she carries herself. I’m rooting for Wright. You?
