Be honest: Will you stay up to the wee hours to see the final Oscar get handed out on March 7? Or, will you nod off during the acceptance speech for Best Cartoon Short, content in the knowledge that you can wake up in the morning and scan through your DVR for the important highlights? Well, ABC seems concerned about you snoozers, because its new commercial accents the must-TV magic of the Oscars.

ABC doesn’t need to worry about me. I’ll do both. I’ll be glued to the tube long after Alec Baldwin has been tucked in, and then, in the morning, after I take off my tuxedo t-shirt, I’ll also rewatch the festivities over breakfast. (This is the Oscars, people!) But what about you? Are you planning to watch the entire show live, like people did way back in the 20th century?
