Sherlock Holmes producer and co-writer Lionel Wigram has hired screenwriter Peter Straughan (The Men Who Stare at Goats) to write a new movie based on Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers, according to Variety. Like last year’s Holmes, the film will update the 17th-century adventure tale for modern audiences by emphasizing the classic novel’s action and sexier moments. No director or actors have been announced yet.
