We Are Young Money

Lil Wayne worshippers looking forward to the sequel to 2008’s Tha Carter III (due next month) must make do for now with this Wayne-related grab bag. The man himself wheezes through frequent hooks and the occasional verse on We Are Young Money, but he mostly cedes the microphone to his protégés, including one who has already found fame (Drake), one who deserves to do so soon (Nicki Minaj), and several more who probably never will. Fast-forward through all the brain-dead filler to find a handful of charmingly crass club jams. C+
