Just as her show Glee made quite an impression in its first outing at the Globes (taking home the win for Best TV Series, Comedy/Musical), so did Michele, who won over the red carpet in this utterly romantic black tulle gown by Oscar de la Renta.

The Valentine’s Day star must’ve studied up on the essential elements of glamour when picking this Atelier Versace: Perfect fit? A dash of sparkle? A touch of train? Yes, yes, and yes!

While Globes host Ricky Gervais riffed that Aniston is remembered only as Friends‘ Rachel, it’s the sky-high slit on her slinky Valentino that we found unforgettable.

If the True Blood star really could read our minds, she’d know that her glitzy Stella McCartney dress was a welcome departure from her character’s understated wardrobe.

Of all the stars to skip the red carpet (Halle Berry, Kate Winslet), we were most sad to miss out on more time to admire Witherspoon’s super-sleek Armani gown.

Sure, she took home a trophy (Best Actress in a Drama for The Blind Side), but the oddly iridescent sheen to her Bottega Veneta kept this from being a truly winning look.

Cameron Diaz
We could get behind the cowl-necked cut of Diaz’s Alexander McQueen, but when paired with matchy lipstick and — shudder — black heels, we had to call fashion foul.

Diane Kruger
Pepto-Bismol may be soothing on the stomach, but it’s certainly not on the red carpet, as Kruger’s dubiously shaded Christian Lacroix gown demonstrated.

Between the blah color and inordinate number of ruffles, the Big Love star’s Valentino dress was a wardrobe malfunction even before her escort accidentally ripped it on stage.
