Madonna, Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt, and many more added to Haiti Telethon roster
The star-studded lineup for this Friday’s “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon continues to grow. According to MTV, the telethon has added appearances by President Bill Clinton, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, Will Smith, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Muhammad Ali; Madonna will also perform live from New York.
Others slated to perform from either New York or Los Angeles are Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting in New York; Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Stevie Wonder, as well as a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Bono and the Edge, and Coldplay will perform via satellite from London.
“Hope for Haiti Now” will air commercial-free this Friday, January 22 at 8pm ET on multiple networks and platforms, including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, CMT, PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, and E! Entertainment. It will alsostream live on YouTube, Hulu, MySpace, Fancast, AOL, MSN.com, Yahoo, Bing.com, BET.com, CNN.com, MTV.com, VH1.com, and Rhapsody and on mobile via Alltel, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and FloTV.
