Golden Globes ratings up

This year’s Golden Globes telecast garnered more viewers than last year’s, according to preliminary Nielsen estimates. The Ricky Gervais-hosted affair, which aired from 8 to 11 p.m. on NBC Sunday, averaged 16.9 million viewers — a 14-percent bounce from last year and NBC’s best ratings in the young adults’ demographic since ER‘s finale last April.
