Lions Gate bids for the rights to 'Terminator' franchise

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Lions Gate Entertainment has bid $15 million plus 5% of future gross receipts for the rights to the Terminator franchise. Production company Halcyon Group put the film series’ rights up for sale in September to assist with their Chapter 11 reorganization.
