Reggae singer Buju Banton pleads not guilty to drug charge

Jamaican reggae singer Buju Banton (neé Mark Myrie) has plead not guilty to a charge of conspiring to buy more than 5 kilograms of cocaine from an undercover police officer in Sarasota, Fl., last month, according to the Associated Press. Banton was arrested at his home on Dec. 10, and is likely to miss the Grammy Awards on Jan. 31, where he is nominated for Best Reggae Album.
