Jay Leno jokes about cancellation rumors

It seems that Jay Leno heard all those cancellation rumors like everyone else this morning. So in tonight’s opening bit of The Jay Leno Show (video embedded below), he makes a few jokes about the rumors, and suggests to Kevin Eubanks that they might have more time to travel — “I hear Fox is beautiful this time of year,” he quips.

It now seems that NBC is considering a revamp of its late-night lineup to move Leno back to 11:35 for a half-hour show, pushing Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Fallon later. But Leno’s jokes seem to hit pretty close to home about struggling NBC.
