Sundance road-trip story gets digital release on Feb. 1

In an unusual distribution plan, Sundance Film Festival selection Bass Ackwards will be available nationwide on multiple platforms one day after the festival closes. New Video and Zipline Entertainment will release the film via digital retailers, cable VOD and DVD on demand on Feb. 1, followed by a larger DVD release in spring 2010. Actor Linas Phillips stars in and directs the story of a man travelling cross-country after ending an affair with a married woman. Mark Duplass (The Puffy Chair) is one of the film’s executive producers.
