Katherine Paterson to be named ambassador for young people's literature

Bridge to Terabithia author Katherine Paterson will be named the national ambassador for young people’s literature on Tuesday, the New York Times reports. The ambassadorship is a joint appointment by the Library of Congress’s Center for the Book and nonprofit group Every Child a Reader.
