Google released its Nexus One phone today, which runs Android 2.1 and was designed by Google and HTC. Smaller and lighter than an iPhone, the Nexus One includes a 5-megapixel camera and sports voice-enabled typing for all text fields. The phone is available now for $179 with a new T-Mobile contract, or, in an unusual official option, for $529 unlocked. It will be available with Verizon and internationally with Vodafone later this year.
