Picking up where “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Take on Me” left off, there’s a new “literal music video” poised to go viral: Men Without Hats’ “The Safety Dance.” For those unfamiliar with literal music videos, the idea is to take a classic (and preferably nonsensical) music video from the ’80s or ’90s, and then redub the lyrics with lines that actually reference what’s happening in the video. So, without further ado, the literal version of the 1982 one-hit wonder, “The Safety Dance” (warning: video contains NSFW lyrics).

PopWatchers, what other literal music videos rocked your world? And are there any more music videos out there dying to be parodied?
