'30 Rock' recap: Hamming it up
Last night’s 30 Rock was legitimately one of the best episodes ever, with everyone trying to be someone they’re not (plus some people trying to be each other). “Dealbreakers Talk Show #0001” was one for the record books, except for one thing: Not enough Kenneth! These were the 10 best lines, but it was really hard to narrow it down this week. Really, really hard.
“Somebody bring me some haaaam!” — Liz, who’s a swarthy, big-hipped Kelly Ripa
“I hope you enjoyed the kissing followed by my genuine interest in that TV dance competition.” — Astronaut Mike Dexter
“I knew it! You’re blond in your fantasies!” — Jack, who…can see it
“Come over here I said, in my normal tone of voice.” — Tracy, who eats batteries
“And that I can finish everything that I…” –Tracy, who doesn’t get his hair “did”
“That’s a good goal for a talented crazy person.” — Tracy, who’s invited to the meetings
“Your hair is…fine.” — Dr. Spaceman, who’s not supposed to have sex with his patients
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in my office, trying to have it all!” — Frank, who looks so so different in his glasses
“That’s why Arlen Specter had to change parties.” — Whoopi Goldberg, whose Daytime Emmy counts
“This is how I cry now!” — Liz, in the best weird physical gag the show has ever done
Also, the high-def joke — with Liz looking decrepit, and Jack being his younger self — completely killed me. Kenneth the Muppet? I thought we’d never see him again.
What’d you think, PopWatchers? Are you EGOTing?
