Gwyneth Paltrow will star as a singer in the country-music drama Love Don’t Let Me Down, according to Variety. Paltrow will play a fallen country singer who becomes involved with an up-and-coming young musician played by Garrett Hedlund (Four Brothers). Also starring are singer Tim McGraw as Paltrow’s manager and husband, and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) as a former beauty queen. The film, which is being directed and written by Shana Feste and produced by Tobey Maguire, will start shooting January in Nashville.
