TNT will not order a third season of its legal drama Raising the Bar, the network confirms to EW. Starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar and centering on a group of New York City lawyers who went to law school together, the series averaged 4 million viewers in season 2, which represented an increase from its season 1 average, but was well below its season 2 lead-in, The Closer ( 8.1 million viewers). “Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on Raising the Bar with Steven Bochco and the rest of the show’s terrific cast and crew,” the network said in a statement. “We’re proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings for Raising the Bar‘s second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series.” The show’s three remaining episodes are expected to air in 2010. (E!
