There has never been a broadcaster who could convey the emotion and intensity of a news story like Paul Harvey. When he spoke, you could see the pictures he painted more vividly than anything you can see with your own eyes. And yet his most powerful tool was silence. When he paused, you were instinctively drawn in.

Harvey died of undisclosed causes in Phoenix.
