He always said, ”Tell me a story.” He never said, ”Oh, it’s foreign, we aren’t interested.” That’s important right now, when you hear that Americans aren’t interested in foreign news. 60 Minutes has lasted 42 seasons, and it doesn’t speak down to viewers. He was able to parlay quality into commercial success.
