There isn’t much that’s ”new” about this umpteenth Mario game, a graphically updated throwback to the old 2-D adventures. But that hardly matters. The big innovation — four people can play at once, as allies or foes — is chaotic fun, and even after all this time, fending off flying turtle shells hasn’t lost its charm. B+
