Olivia Wilde gets her indie 'Fix'
- TV Show
How did Tao Ruspoli land Olivia Wilde, best known as Thirteen on House, for his debut feature film? Easy, they’re married. Ruspoli is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who stays close to reality with his first fictional project – the story is inspired by his brother’s struggle with drug addiction. Wilde and Ruspoli play a documentary filmmaking couple who must race across Los Angeles to get his brother Leo into a rehab program by 8 pm, or else the brother faces three years of jail. Shawn Andrews (Dazed and Confused) plays Leo, and Megalyn Echikunwoke (CSI: Miami, 24) also co-stars.
Ruspoli said he’s always wanted to work with his wife: “We always joked that while we had gotten married after only knowing each other for 6 months, the real commitment (and risk) it takes to make a film together required 4 years.”
Fix opens tomorrow in New York, and EW has an exclusive clip after the jump.
