Johnny Depp is reportedly in talks to join Angelina Jolie in the thriller The Tourist, according to Variety. Depp would play an American tourist, while Jolie would take on the role of an Interpol agent who involves Depp in her quest to find a criminal who was once her lover. Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who directed the Oscar-winning The Lives of Others, was attached to direct with Sam Worthington starring, but both reportedly left the project over creative differences. Now Children of Men director Alfonso Cuarón is rumored to be in the running to take the helm. The movie, which is a remake of the 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer, is scheduled to begin production in February. A spokeswoman for Graham King, whose GK Films is producing, told EW that she could not confirm the Depp news.
