You’ve seen the Grace Jonesing album cover; you’ve heard the shotgun-blast first single “Russian Roulette”; now, another track from Rihanna’s upcoming November 23 release Rated R has leaked to the web. YouTube is hosting various streams of the Caribbean-tinged mid-tempo synth thumper “Wait Your Turn,” in which the 20-year-old pop star gets unusually irie with boastful rhymes like “”I pitch with a grenade/ Swing away if you’re feeling brave/ There’s so much power in my name.”

Now that the wait is nearly ova, are you feeling it, Music Mixers? I cannot tell a lie; I’m a little underwhelmed by this new walk-the-plank Pirate RiRi incarnation. The eye-patched barb-wire-my-boobies dark-star shtick is getting a little one-note Manson-esque, n’est-ce pas? But maybe we’ll get some context when she appears on Good Morning America this Thursday, and 20/20 the day after — her first live interviews since Chris Brown’s assault in February.
