Do not play the following clip if you don’t want to be singing Kelly Kapoor’s (Mindy Kaling) ode to Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak), “Male Prima Donna,” to yourself for at least the rest of the day. This early look at The Office‘s three-part webisode series (posting to tomorrow) gives a taste of Kelly and Erin’s video for their first single as girl group Subtle Sexuality. (The series chronicles the behind-the-scenes drama during filming.) Its genius really lies in the fact that it holds up to anything on the radio. And includes references to OD’ing on Baby Aspirin. And features both a B.J. Novak rap and a very Auto-Tuned Ed Helms. Kelly’s description of the meaning behind it: “You know when you love a guy but he’s giving you mixed signals, but you know he really likes you, and you’re sleeping together?” (Bonus: These costumes.) What do you think? Are you ready to download “Male Prima Donna” to your iPod workout playlist, too?
