Artist Shepard Fairey, who designed the famous Obama “Hope” poster and has been locked in a copyright infringement battle with the Associated Press over the photo used, is now admitting he lied about using the AP’s image. “In an attempt to conceal my mistake, I submitted false images and deleted other images,” said Mr. Fairey. “I sincerely apologize for my lapse in judgment, and I take full responsibility for my actions, which were mine alone.”
