In the ongoing media blitz for the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz and coinciding DVD re-re-re-release, the movie’s much-loved munchkins are doing press rounds and recently spoke to Newsweek about their memories from their time on set. (To be honest, they’re really the only stars from the movie still alive.) The video below with five of the munchkins—now aged between 86 and 92—has got to be one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. Sure, the little folks were cute when they were originally in Oz, but now they’re older and even cuter. And wrinkly! And one of them—the guy who played the munchkin coroner—even sublimely dozes off during the chatty, chirpy interview, which you can watch here:

Things that made me smile from this short video: When the one guy sings along to “We Represent the Lollipop Guild” with such panache and glee; how grateful the group was to be involved in a movie as genius as The Wizard of Oz and be in the presence of a star like Judy Garland; and how—hehe—they claim that Toto got paid more than they did. What??? Blasphemy!

PopWatchers, were you amused by the Oz munchkins here? What made you smile from the clip? Which munchkin moment in the movie makes you smile most? Tell me in the comments section below!
