A Los Angeles woman is suing Chris Rock for $5 million, claiming that the comic/actor stole her idea for his upcoming documentary, Good Hair. Rock’s film, which opens on Friday, takes a look at African-American hairstyles and features interviews with such famous faces as Ice-T, Maya Angelou, and Rev. Al Sharpton. In the suit, filed this week in L.A. District Court, Regina Kimball claims that she showed her 2005 documentary, My Nappy Roots: A Journey Through Black Hair-itage, to Rock on the set of his TV show Everyone Hates Chris two years ago. Rock’s representative had no comment.
