Viewers who stayed in for this past weekend’s SNL got a surprise two-fer on blond pop icons when Madonna appeared alongside musical guest Lady Gaga — to hurl (humorous?) insults and hair pulls.

Her Madgesty joined Her Gagosity in a new installment of the long-running Deep House Dish sketch (previously graced by the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Jake Gyllenhaal), and the results were … questionable; watch below:

Aside from the fact that they both look like C+C Music Factory back-up dancers, what did you think of the skit?

I’m erring on the side of “not hilarious,” only because it seemed so unplanned — and frankly, these two pants-resistant stars’ strength lies more in their glutes (seriously, how can Madge’s backside still look like a teenage Latvian gymnast’s at 51?) than in their improv skills.

Also, their flappy slaps and jabs looked more like eight-year-olds fighting over the 17 Again bonus-features DVD at a slumber party than a real throwdown. But I digress. Readers, tell us in the comments section below what you thought of the show — and Gaga’s giant-circle-spinning, flame-retardant musical performances too.
