More Than a Game

Basketball may be more than a game for NBA superstar LeBron James, but the soundtrack for the big-screen documentary about his life, More Than a Game, is nothing more or less than a garden-variety compilation of newish rap and R&B tracks. Those who frequent hip-hop blogs will already be acquainted with the strongest material, like Drake’s ”Forever” — where the rookie teams with all-stars Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Eminem — and Jay-Z’s pompous ”History.” Even those aren’t among the artists’ best work, though, and the rest of these tunes mostly deserve technical fouls for lack of creativity.
