Check out our exclusive peek at the new promo for NBC’s Trauma, “the first high-octane medical drama series to live exclusively in the field where the real action is,” from executive producer Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights). It looks like a trailer for a Michael Bay film, complete with dramatic music and voiceover, multiple explosions, and the strategic use of both slo-mo and the phrase “adrenaline cowboy.”*

“But beyond the spectacle, the tense, go-for-broke acting makes this both hyper and exciting,” EW’s Ken Tucker writes in his 21 New Shows: Worth Your Time? gallery. “Could flame out fast, or become an adrenaline fave.” What’s your early prognosis for the series, which goes up against Dancing With the Stars, Two and a Half Men/The Big Bang Theory, Gossip Girl and Lie to Me starting Sept. 28?

* Or, a Sweeps episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
