The fall concert season may be heating up, but why leave the comfort of your couch? These three television shows will soon be featuring must-see musical guests.

The Script on 90210
The music This up-and-coming Irish pop act recently landed slots opening for Paul McCartney and U2.
On the show Now they’ll get another plum gig: playing the famed Beverly Hills Beach Club, where Jason Priestley’s Brandon made summer cash on the original series. Look for an acoustic version of soulful tune ”We Cry” during the Oct. 6 episode.
Why it works Hottie lead singer Danny O’Donoghue looks like he should be starring on 90210.

Janelle Monáe on Stargate Universe
The music She hails from Kansas and records for Diddy’s label, but the far-out singer (and OutKast pal) might as well be from another planet.
On the show On the Nov. 5 episode, Monáe performs her out-of-this-world song ”Many Moons” in a nightclub with her real-life band.
Why it works The title ”Many Moons” is perfect for a show called Stargate Universe, and Monáe’s theatrical, futuristic vibe makes her well suited to any intergalactic gig.

Sonic Youth on Gossip Girl
The music The alt-rock legends released their 16th album, The Eternal, in June.
On the show They’ll bring their considerable ”Star Power” when they play an acoustic version of the 1986 track on the Oct. 11 episode.
Why it works Apparently, the daughter of SY’s Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore is a Gossip fan. And the predictably unpredictable band has a history of doing surprising things like this (hello, Gilmore Girls cameo!).
