Charles Gibson retires; Diane Sawyer in

ABC’s lead news anchor Charles Gibson is retiring. The New York Times reports that Gibson, whose World News ranks second in the ratings to Brian Williams’ Nightly News on NBC, will step down at the end of the year. Diane Sawyer, current host of Good Morning America, will be his replacement.
