A spokesperson for Alec Baldwin tells the Associated Press that, contrary to speculation, the 30 Rock star has no plans to run against Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman in 2012. Earlier this summer, Baldwin was quoted in a Playboy story saying, “I’d love to run against Joe Lieberman.” When asked about Baldwin’s threat to run during an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, Lieberman laughed, said “Make my day,” and then complimented Baldwin as an actor and comedian.
