Stephen Colbert called Woodstock “the foul harvest of an overripe decade” during his interview with Taking Woodstock director Ang Lee on last night’s Report. Of course Ang Lee, in his Ang Lee way, smiled peacefully before dying inside a little bit at the thought of the “Bud Light with Lime Peace Zone.” Far out, Ang!

I just realized I’d be much more likely to rush and see Taking Woodstock if the film involved a subplot along the lines of South Park‘s Eric Cartman driving a massive drilling vehicle through the herd of damn hippies and, if that didn’t work, blasting Slayer via his laptop to encourage their dispersion. You too, or are you psyched to see Taking Woodstock exactly how it is, dammit?
