Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved a deal between Michael Jackson’s estate and merchandiser Bravado to sell a vast array of Jackson merchandise, including trading cards, clothing, and cell phone themes, reports the Associated Press. The deal was struck after attorneys for Katherine Jackson backed down from their objections to it, but they renewed their opposition to a proposed tour of Michael Jackson memorabilia timed to coincide with the feature film This Is It, which showcases footage from rehearsals for the late pop star’s planned London concerts. Judge Beckloff scheduled an evidentiary hearing to decide whether the memorabilia tour would be in the Jackson estate’s best interests.
