STARRING Julianne Nicholson, John Krasinski, Timothy Hutton WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY John Krasinski

John Krasinski was 23 and waiting tables in NYC when he scored a role on the pilot for NBC’s The Office. He took that paycheck and optioned a collection of stories by David Foster Wallace presented as transcripts of conversations with average men, in all their idiosyncrasy and rage. After Krasinski wrote the screenplay and cast his favorite New York actors — Law & Order‘s Julianne Nicholson plays the interviewer who wants to get inside the heads of men — he enjoyed a memorable conversation with Wallace himself. ”He was sweet and gentle and genuine,” says Krasinski, who still mourns the author’s 2008 death. ”No one will ever come close to writing like him again.”
