North Korea reportedly releases two U.S. Journalists
North Korean President Kim Jong Il has pardoned and released two U.S. journalists, according to CNN.com.
The announcement came after former U.S. President Clinton met with North Korean officials in Pyongyang to appeal for their release.
The reporters, Laura Ling (sister of former View cohost Lisa Ling) and Euna Lee, were both working for Current TV, a media venture launched by Clinton’s Vice President, Al Gore. They had been held since March.
