Universal, home of Hollywood monsters like Frankenstein and the Wolf Man, is in new talks to resurrect James Whale’s 1935 classic, Bride of Frankenstein. According to, the studio and Imagine Entertainment are negotiating with writer/director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) and writer Dirk Wittenborn (The Lucky Ones). It’s unclear at this time whether the project would be contemporary or nostalgically gothic.
