Watchmen co-writer David Hayter and producer Bill Mechanic are teaming up to turn the zombie comic Deadworld into a potential big-screen franchise, according to Variety. Co-creator Gary Reed will be an executive producer on the project, which depicts a post-apocalyptic world in which the motorcycle-riding King Zombie menaces the few surviving humans. Production is slated to start next year.
