A few weeks back, we published our list of potential summer smashes — i.e. the songs you may adore (bonjour, Phoenix!) or not (sayanora, Shinedown), but would inevitably be hearing banging from every beach bbq/nightclub/passing Prius throughout the ’09 season.

In emails and comments, Music Mixers repeatedly told us we had neglected one major single: French DJ David Guetta’s collaboration with ex-Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland, “When Love Takes Over.” And so: we stand corrected!

The song has already topped Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay charts, and is slowly crawling up the Hot 100, but we’ve got an exclusive extended mix for you to stream for your own personal playlist, courtesy of Guetta’s label.

Billboard actually has more on the story behind the single, and we can tell you that his upcoming album includes guest spots from, Kid Cudi, Estelle, and Akon. So now you tell us: Will this indeed be your jam this summer?
