Dunder Mifflin’s serial klepto steals more than his share of scenes, but Creed Bratton, the man, has always been an elusive enigma. The Office‘s new Web miniseries, ”Blackmail,” however, exposes the lurking layabout’s sordid past after his attempts to extort his co-workers backfire. Andy (Ed Helms) calls Creed ”gratuitously creepy,” which might also describe the two-minute shorts, directed by B.J. Novak (Ryan) and streaming weekly at NBC.com. Creepy in a good way. Creed’s inept nefariousness actually brings him closer to his fellow Dunderheads, and his mysterious backstory makes these Office snacks worth sampling. B+
