California rapper Del The Funky Homosapien has released his first album in two years, Funk Man (The Stimulus Package), as a free download on delthefunkyhomosapien.bandcamp.com. The rapper told Billboard.com, ”I know what’s going on. I’m not blind. I didn’t think enough people were actually going to buy it to warrant me doing a full-scale release.” Funk Man was mostly self-funded by the rapper, with sponsorship deals from Skull Candy, Osirus Shoes, and Arnette picking up the rest of the tab. A video for the track ”Get It Right Now” is available on YouTube, and the artist is currently promoting the album with a club tour that ends in Salt Lake City on May 18.
