Darren Lynn Bousman, who has directed three films in the Sawfranchise, has signed on to helm a remake of Charles Kaufman’s 1980 horror flick Mother’s Day, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The reboot will see the evil family from the original— two brothers who engaged in murderand rape on a campsite to impress their maniac mother—return to the house where they grew up and terrify the new owners and their guests. Producers hope to release the film in time for Mother’s Day 2010.
